Alaca Minare Mosque

The mosque in Nuh Kuyusu was named after its beautiful tiles. Since it is between the old and new Valide mosques, it is is called the Orta Valide Mosque. It is within a group of buildings and built by Kösem Mahpeyker Valide Sultan in 1640-41.

The Bodrumi Mosque was built by Şeyhülislam Ömer Lütfü Efendi of Bodrum in 1891 on the eastern slope of Küçük Çamlıca and has given its name to the street on which it is located. There is a poetic script of siz lines prepared by Poem Refet on the marble on the wall overlooking the street.

This mosque is on the left on Nuhkuyusu Avenue towards Baglarbasi from Duvardibi. It is currently within the complex of Zeynep Kamil Hospital. The wife of the final caliph Abdülmecit, Mihrimah han›m is here.

It was founded on a beautiful outskirt of ‹stanbul overlooking the Golden Horn, the Bosphorus, Beyo¤lu and Marmara. It was built of stone and its minaret is on the right.
