Aziz Mahmut Hüdayi Mosque

The mosque with its group of buildings such as as lodges, dervish cells, kitchen for the poor, and schools was built in 1598. It was rebuilt in 1856 by Abdülmecit. There is a golden imperial signature of Sultan Abdülmecit with ornaments in the shape of flowers on the plate over the gate. There are three fountains built by Nevflehirli Ibrahim Pasha’s son-inlaw Mehmet Pasha on the side of this gate. It is understood from the plate by Poet Ziver on the gate, that it was rebuit by Sultan Abdülmecit replacing the old mosque built by Aziz Hüdayi.
