The Bodrumi Mosque was built by Şeyhülislam Ömer Lütfü Efendi of Bodrum in 1891 on the eastern slope of Küçük Çamlıca and has given its name to the street on which it is located. There is a poetic script of siz lines prepared by Poem Refet on the marble on the wall overlooking the street.

The mosque is of stone and its upper parts are wooden, and was built by Abdülhamit II, for his son Burhaneddin in 1902, in the immigrant quarters of that era, which is Burhaniye Quarters today. There is a historical wake-up clock in the mosque.There is also a scripture by writer Hüseyin dated 1318.

This mosque is on the left sea shore at the port of Beylerbeyi. It was built replacing Hırka-i Serif Section of İstavroz Palace. It was built by Sultan Abdülhamit I after his mother. The Emperor and his son Sultan Mahmut II came here for Friday prayers.
